This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is amazing how quickly pens and markers can dry out, especially with a class of over 20 five and six-year-olds! Please help me replenish our writing supply so that we can have a successful school year.
Colorful pens and highlighters will keep our learning and projects moving forward!
We use highlighters to practice reading and writing high-frequency words and simple sentences. Colorful pens are used to write student names on projects that are displayed in the classroom for all to enjoy. Being able to read their name on a displayed project helps boost student confidence and is truly rewarding and motivating. During small group reading time, students use highlighters to find and highlight the letter or word of the day in their decodable readers.
