My Project

Students today struggle with feeling confident on assessments, and therefore lack motivation to complete assessments. Our state assessment covers 4 different subject areas, with 3-4 sections per subject, which results in 5 days of testing for over 240 minutes a day. This is tiring and exhausting to students. This project is a simple way to help motivate students to persevere through and perform their best throughout.

This particular project has a variety of student selected snacks that can be earned on a daily basis.

At the end of each testing session, students who worked hard, showed work on scratch paper, and made an honest hard effort will earn a "golden ticket." Basically a gold sheet of paper with Gold Ticket written on it. At the end of the day, students who are rewarded a golden ticket will visit the snack station and choose a reward for their hard work on that particular section of the state assessment. Our hope, is that this simple reward at the end of the day will motivate all students to work hard on this year's state assessment.
