State testing is one week of high stress and pressure on all students, so the little treat we offered at the end of each day gave students something to look forward to and a reason not to give up. Students who showed genuine effort during each testing session were given Golden Tickets. Students who got Golden Tickets for every testing session were invited to the Golden Ticket Snack Room to select a treat each day.\r\n\r\nThe students were completely shocked the first afternoon when they walked into the room and saw the variety of snacks that had been purchased for them. I even heard students talking about what they were going to take the following day and how they would keep up the hard work. News traveled fast about how awesome the Golden Ticket rewards were. Students who had not earned Golden Tickets the first day stopped me in the halls to ensure me they would receive one the next day. The impact is clear on our Golden Ticket tracker - the number of students receiving checks (meaning they were given a Golden Ticket by their test administrator) increased tremendously over the course of the week. I attached a few photos to show you how excited they were and how much participation increased!\r\n\r\nIt was a great way to end each testing day. Food is one way to a middle school students heart!! We would not have been able to do this without the support role you played in this project. The students at Port Allen Middle School greatly appreciate your contributions.","fullyFundedDate":1743962952495,"projectUrl":"project/pams-eagles-golden-tickets-motivating/9190523/","projectTitle":"PAMS Eagles GOLDEN TICKETS!
