This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of my students rely on the school breakfast and lunch programs to supplement or simply satisfy their meals for the entire day. Many students also attend after-school programs well past the end of the school day. Nutrition and energy from these meals are essential to being productive in the classroom. Unfortunately, the programs are not always accessible to my students due to school being closed or a student may have arrived late where he or she did not have time to eat breakfast.

In order to ensure that the students receive the nutrition they need, I am aiming to provide them with variety of breakfast cereal boxes, as well as other snacks they enjoy eating, such as Rice Krispies, graham crackers, etc.

No child should ever go through an entire day feeling hungry.
