Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing healthier options of snacks for students is essential for prevention of hunger. Having snacks on hands to provide for children throughout the day is beneficial for their physical health as well as mental.
Having snacks available at all times, allows our children to have their minds ready for learning and engagement while targeting hunger.
Our neighborhood school is a charter. Our school is proud and provides education to all demographics and backgrounds. We are a school of choice and welcome everyone with open arms with excitement to teach. In an effort to make sure all of our kids are meeting their goals academically as well as physically, we provide snacks to make sure tummies are full and brains willing to learn.
Our goal is to be able to provide for our children with no questions asked. We want to make sure that all of our kiddos feel comfortable enough to come to a staff member and ask for a snack without any type of judgment.
