My Project

Eighth graders are growing rapidly and always seem to be hungry. Some students are at school from 7:30 in the morning until well past the school day due to athletics and after school activities. Sometimes lunch simply isn't enough to help them make it all the way through the day and not all students have snacks provided to them from home.

Providing snacks can help students concentrate on learning and provide energy to make it through the day.

It can be difficult to focus on school when you have a hungry belly. With your help, I can keep a stash of snacks on hand to give to students who might need it. A simple snack can go a long way to help a student stay engaged, participate in class, and even to feel cared for during the school day.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
