Help me give my students snacks to ensure my they have the energy and focus needed to stay engaged and succeed academically throughout the day.

My Project

My students come to school eager to learn, but hunger can often be a major distraction. Many of them do not have access to nutritious meals outside of school, and by the time they get to class, they are already hungry. When students are hungry, they struggle to concentrate, participate, and retain information. By providing snacks throughout the day, I can ensure that their basic needs are met, allowing them to stay focused on learning. For example, having access to snacks like granola bars or fruit will keep their energy levels stable, reducing mid-morning or afternoon fatigue, and helping them actively engage in lessons.

In addition to maintaining energy, snacks can also help improve classroom behavior and social-emotional learning.

When students are nourished, they are less likely to become irritable or restless, which makes the classroom environment more positive and conducive to learning. For instance, during long projects or testing periods, a quick snack break can refresh students' minds, leading to better academic performance. Providing snacks will not only support their physical well-being but also create a more focused and productive learning environment, helping my students achieve their full potential.
