Help me give my students and cheerleading team healthy energizing snacks! Mid-morning breaks to cheerleading practice, nutritious snacks can make a big difference in maintaining focus, energy, and overall well-being. My special education class and team need you!

My Project

As a teacher and cheerleading coach, I strive to provide a positive and supportive environment where all students can thrive, both academically and socially. Many of our students, especially those in special education, face unique challenges throughout the school day. To support their learning and overall well-being, I’m requesting a variety of healthy snacks for them, their teachers, and the cheerleading team.

Why:

Special education students may have difficulty focusing and staying engaged in class without the proper nutrition to fuel their brains. Providing snacks like granola bars, fruit cups, and crackers can help prevent energy dips and improve concentration. Cheerleaders also require quick, healthy snacks to maintain energy during long practices, and teachers can benefit from a mid-day boost to stay focused and energized.

Impact:

The snacks requested will provide essential nutrients and energy, allowing students to stay focused on their learning, especially during the afternoon when attention often wanes. The availability of healthy snacks ensures that students don’t have to worry about hunger, allowing them to be present in the moment and participate fully in lessons, physical activities, and team-building exercises. Additionally, teachers will be better equipped to care for their students, feeling revitalized through the day.

Goals:

The main goal is to provide all special education students, teachers, and cheerleaders with easy access to healthy, energizing snacks. This will ensure that they can sustain their focus, stay engaged in activities, and maintain a positive and productive school day. The project also aims to foster a sense of care and community, where students and staff know they are supported and valued.

Why is:

Our students are resilient, hard-working, and eager to succeed. Despite facing challenges, they approach each day with enthusiasm and determination. Providing them with the right tools, including nutritious snacks, helps them perform at their best.
