Fueling Learning with Snacks, Storage, and Support

Help me give my students essential classroom items, snacks to keep students fueled throughout the day, and a microwave so students can warm up meals when they don’t have access to a hot lunch.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their resilience, curiosity, and kindness. Despite the challenges many of them face outside the classroom—especially coming from low-income families—they show up each day ready to learn, grow, and support one another. They inspire me daily with their determination and their big hearts.

The items I’m requesting may seem simple, but they will make a meaningful difference in our classroom.

Some students come to school with meals that need reheating, and having a microwave in the room means they can enjoy a warm lunch and stay focused in the afternoon instead of being distracted by hunger or cold food. A shelf will help us stay organized and give students easy access to supplies, snacks, and learning materials. It also creates a cleaner, more welcoming learning environment.

These basic materials like pencils, notebooks, and tissues are crucial for learning. Many of my students can’t bring these from home, and having them available ensures everyone has what they need to participate fully and confidently. /For students who may not have enough to eat at home, snacks are not just a treat—they're a necessity. They help keep students energized, focused, and ready to learn throughout the day.

Every item in this project is chosen with my students' well-being in mind. By meeting their basic needs, we create a space where learning becomes possible, consistent, and joyful. Thank you for believing in them and helping us build a classroom where every student feels supported and seen.
