Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 9th-grade students are curious, hardworking, and eager to learn. They come to class daily ready to explore new ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and engage in hands-on learning. However, to help them reach their full potential, they need a classroom environment that supports focus, creativity, and engagement.
My 9th-grade students are full of curiosity and creativity, and I want to provide them with the tools to succeed.
Sensory lights will help create a calm, focused space, especially during independent work or test-taking, allowing students to concentrate better. Snacks will be available during break times to keep energy levels up, ensuring they stay focused throughout the day. Crayons and markers will be used in science and art projects, allowing students to visually express their learning concepts, like drawing diagrams of chemical reactions or creating infographics. The speaker will bring audio-based lessons and videos to life, enhancing our discussions on environmental science or history. Science posters will decorate the walls and inspire students daily, encouraging them to think critically and spark curiosity during class discussions. With these resources, my students will be more engaged, creative, and better prepared to explore new ideas.
