Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These STEM classroom materials will benefit my high school Geoscience students by providing them with valuable, practical experiences that enhance their learning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. These materials also prepare students for future STEM careers and help cultivate a lifelong interest in science and technology. For example, in my classroom we often have modeling labs and the goggles will help protect them from some of the materials we need to use this year. The calculators will support them when we need to calculate measurements and graph and analyze the data we have gathered.
Additionally, my students will use these materials to research ideas, rewatch videos, or record their explanations of scientific concepts.
As a result, charging stations and headphones are a necessity when culminating a lesson and moving into completing a project. Each of these materials will enhance their learning, build confidence in their abilities, and encourage innovation.
