This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of our students attend school without having anything to eat and it makes it difficult for them to maintain energy throughout the day. Staff often use snacks such as these to help motivate students to continue working throughout the day however that often comes at our own expense to purchase the items.

Often times school is the only place where students feel they have the most consistent access to food and we would like to continue to have options for them.

We believe all students should have access to food at school and at home.
