This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am seeking your support to acquire essential materials that will transform our classroom into a dynamic and engaging hub for scientific exploration. The goal of my project is to provide my students with the resources they need to not only understand scientific concepts but to experience them firsthand, fostering a love for inquiry-based learning. I am building an inquiry lab for my 8th and 9th grade biology class to build an understanding of structure in science. I have included supplies to help my students explore and collect samples for a scavenger hunt. The students will then enter their findings in a slide presentation. I am writing to share with you an exciting opportunity to make a profound impact on the learning experiences of my special group of students. In my classroom, I have the privilege of teaching a diverse group of young minds, each with their unique strengths, passions, and curiosities. What makes my students truly special is their eagerness to learn and explore the wonders of the scientific world around them.

These resources will not only make learning more dynamic and engaging but will also cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring that every student can actively participate and grasp complex scientific concepts.

The overarching goal of this project is to cultivate a lifelong love for learning within my students. By providing them with the necessary tools and resources, I aim to foster critical thinking skills, curiosity, and a passion for scientific inquiry that will extend far beyond the walls of our classroom.
