Fueling Focus With Nutritious Snacks for English Language Learners

Help me give my students some healthy (and some not-so-healthy) snacks to keep their hunger at bay and keep them motivated throughout the long school days, including fruit snacks, popcorn, Cheez-its, Scooby snacks, candy, and more.

My Project

In my diverse classroom, where many students are mastering English alongside their academic subjects, the challenge of learning is often compounded by long hours and the basic need of hunger. Recognizing that hunger can significantly distract from focus and learning, I aim to provide my students with healthy snacks to keep their energy up throughout the school day and small treats that will keep them motivated.

I am looking to stock my classroom with a variety of enjoyable, energizing snacks that will help sustain my students' attention and motivation.

My requested snacks include:

Popcorn: A whole-grain, fiber-rich snack that is both fun to eat and filling.

Fruit Snacks: These provide a quick, tasty source of vitamins and a bit of sweetness that our students love.

Cheez-Its: Offering a savory option, these snacks are perfect for students who might prefer something less sweet.

Scooby Snacks: Fun-shaped and delightful, these are a hit for a midday treat that brings a smile.

Candies: A selection of Skittles, Starbursts, Twix, and Sour Punch Twists to offer a burst of energy during those particularly demanding classroom activities.

Gum: For older students, chewing gum can help keep them alert and focused during lessons and tests.

* I have also requested crockpot liners so my students can earn a nacho party. The liners are for the nacho cheese.*

By providing these snacks, you will be directly contributing to my students' ability to concentrate and excel in their studies. Satisfying their hunger with these snacks will allow them to focus more on developing their language skills and less on their empty stomachs.
