My Project

My middle schoolers are at a crossroads of incredible potential and typical adolescent energy. They are creative, social, and eager to demonstrate what they know, but they also face significant pressure during our state’s SOL (Standards of Learning) testing season. For many of my students, sitting still for hours to complete a high-stakes exam feels nearly impossible. They thrive on movement, sensory input, and—of course—bold flavors. My goal is to transform the "testing dread" into an environment where they feel supported, celebrated, and motivated to give their absolute best effort.

Testing season can be a grueling marathon.

To help my students cross the finish line with confidence, I am seeking a "Double-Threat" kit of rewards: Takis and Wacky Tracks.

The Motivation (Takis & Candy): In the world of a middle schooler, Takis are more than just a snack—they are "currency." By offering these highly-coveted treats along with Skittles and Starbursts as incentives for attendance, stamina, and focus, I can create an immediate "buy-in." These rewards acknowledge their hard work and give them something "fire" to look forward to after a long morning of testing.

The Impact

Your donation will do more than just provide snacks and toys; it will foster a culture of achievement and care. By providing these specific incentives, we are telling our students: “We see how hard you are working, and we want to give you the tools and the treats that make this challenge a little easier.” With your help, we can turn a stressful week of testing into a celebration of student growth and perseverance.
