Imagine trying to focus on learning while your stomach is growling. I teach a group of energetic, creative, and resilient kids who are working hard to succeed—despite the many challenges they face outside the classroom.
Many of my students receive occupational therapy support, which helps them improve focus, motor skills, and self-regulation.
Having a small snack before or during therapy sessions dramatically increases their ability to participate, stay engaged, and succeed in school.
With your help, I want to provide simple snacks—like Lay’s chips, Airheads, and cookies—that not only boost energy but also bring joy. These snacks will be used as motivators during therapy sessions and as a way to curb hunger during long school days.
This project isn’t about treats—it’s about giving every student the chance to learn without hunger getting in the way. When kids are full and focused, they’re ready to thrive.
