This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom is a diverse group of first graders who are full of curiosity and potential.
Unfortunately, some of them come to school without snacks or nutritious meals to help them stay focused.
I am requesting donations for a variety of healthy snacks, including:
• Granola bars
• Fruit snacks (low-sugar options)
• Crackers and cheese
• Applesauce
• Pretzels
These snacks will provide my students with the energy they need to stay attentive and engaged during lessons, especially in the afternoon when their energy often dips.
Hunger is a barrier to learning. When students are hungry, they have difficulty concentrating, participating, and retaining new information.
By providing nutritious snacks, I will be able to ensure that every student is ready to give their best in the classroom, regardless of their home situation. Healthy snacks will not only support their physical well-being but also their academic growth by helping them focus on learning, rather than hunger.
