My Project
My wonderful fifth graders are energetic, curious, and eager to learn about the world around them. They thrive on exploring current events and real-world science topics that spark meaningful discussions and connect directly to what we’re learning in class. To support their growth as readers and critical thinkers, we’d love to have access to Scholastic News and Science Spin.
These engaging magazines are designed for students at their reading level and include high-interest nonfiction articles, rich vocabulary, and interactive features that help improve reading fluency and comprehension.
Scholastic News introduces them to important current events, while Science Spin fuels their natural curiosity about how the world works.
With your support, each student will receive their own copy to read, annotate, and bring home to share their learning with family. These resources will also help build their confidence in reading and support classroom discussions, writing assignments, and cross-curricular connections in science, social studies, and ELA.
Help us bring these meaningful materials into our classroom and inspire a lifelong love of reading and learning!
