This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm seeking support to provide t-shirt making supplies to a high school classroom where students are eager to explore creativity, entrepreneurship, and hands-on design skills. Our school lacks the resources for creative projects like this, and with your help, we can give my students the tools they need to learn, express themselves, and even create their own mini brands. Every donation helps spark inspiration and opportunity in the classroom. The added technology of the Epson sublimation printer and materials introduces my students to more innovative and current trends.

The goals for this project are to provide essential supplies and equipment to design and make t-shirts, hats, and mugs; to encourage creativity and self-expression; to teach practical skills that students can use beyond the classroom for future income and builds on their financial literacy knowledge in managing material costs; to foster entrepreneurship by exploring how to brand, market, and possibly donate their designs to school personnel, and create a last resource to build a sustainable t-shirt making station that future classes can continue to use.

My entrepreneurship students are creative, driven, and full of fresh ideas—they’re not just learning about business, they’re living it. Many of them come from under-resourced backgrounds, yet show up every day ready to turn challenges into opportunities. They’re passionate about building something of their own, whether it’s a brand, a product, or a vision for their future.

What makes them truly special is their mindset: they see possibility where others might see limits. This donation would give them a hands-on way to apply what they’re learning, express themselves, and gain real-world experience in design, branding, and business—all from the classroom. With the right tools, they’re ready to create, lead, and inspire.
