Dear Donors,
I teach kindergarten special education at PS121, where my students come from diverse backgrounds and face unique challenges both inside and outside of the classroom.
Every day, I strive to provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that meets their individual needs. One of the key components of creating a successful learning space is ensuring that my students are nourished, hydrated, and ready to engage with their lessons.
That’s why I am asking for your support in providing healthy snacks and bottles of water for my students. These snacks and drinks will not only help keep them energized throughout the day, but they will also contribute to their overall well-being and focus. For many of my students, access to nutritious food and water at home can be limited, so providing these resources in the classroom is essential for their success.
Why This Project Matters:
Healthy Snacks: The snacks I’ve requested will offer a variety of nutritious options, such as granola bars, rice krispies, and crackers, to keep my students’ energy up and their minds sharp. These snacks will help my students stay focused during lessons, group activities, and independent work, preventing hunger from interfering with their learning.
Bottles of Water: Staying hydrated is crucial for my students’ ability to concentrate and participate in class. Unfortunately, we do not have accessable water fountains for our class. With bottles of water, my students will always have access to water throughout the day.
