My Project
Students from low-income schools often face barriers to accessing both nutritious snacks and basic hygiene supplies—two essentials that directly impact learning, confidence, and overall well-being. Hunger and poor nutrition can lead to difficulty focusing in class, while lack of access to hygiene products can affect self-esteem and attendance. My campaign addresses both needs in a simple, empowering way: providing healthy snacks to fuel bodies and necessary supplies like deodorant, lotion, and hairbrushes to help students feel fresh and ready to learn. By removing these obstacles, we give every student the chance to show up with energy, confidence, and dignity, creating a healthier, more supportive school environment.
Dignity can be challenged or overlooked, but when young people have the tools to maintain it, it remains something no one can take away.
Students with learning disabilities can be especially vulnerable to the effects of poor nutrition and inconsistent access to personal care. Healthy snacks provide sustained energy that helps with focus, memory, and classroom engagement, while hygiene items reduce anxiety and foster a sense of belonging. Ensuring that all students—including those with diverse learning needs—are supported holistically allows them to thrive academically and socially.
