Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We need healthy snacks to help students focus and feel supported at school. Rather than letting our newcomer student population worry about attending school because they suffer from malnutrition, these supplies will help students gain confidence and participate more in all of their classes. The items will be kept in a discrete location and students can come on a case-by-case basis to obtain what they need for themselves.

We are requesting a variety of snacks because many students suffer from food insecurities at home.

Every single food item within this project will be used to fit the need or requests of a student at our school. My students have overcome innumerable barriers to pursue a better future - let's help them in the little ways that we can!
