My Students

Since opening 3 years ago, our High School for the Arts has offered a premier arts-integrated education for students of the greater Bronzeville and Washington Park communities. The Diverse Learning program has expanded to service more than 60 students. Our students range widely in age, ability, and learning styles.

Our students deserve a space that fosters creativity and imagination.

We seek the resources to support our students' artistic pursuits and diverse learning needs and styles. Please consider donating to our classroom as we continue to grow and develop our Diverse Learning program.

My Project

The classroom supplies I have selected ensure rigorous and flexible math instruction for our diverse learners at the high school level.

Fuel our students' drive to create and aspire in an authentic and meaningful way.

This technology provides greater flexibility for Diverse Learning Educators to truly tailor lessons to each child's needs. The document camera allows us to pause during instruction, adapt to different rates in processing, as well as record lessons for students to review notes after class. A class laminator offers greater opportunity for kinesthetic learning (i.e. flashcards and models) and create posters to exhibit our students' creative genius. Our students also benefit from the more basic classroom supplies, our classroom is always in need of pencils and paper.

Every classroom supply counts! Your contributions can further our school's vision to generate innovators, leaders, and problem-solvers. Chicago believes in our school. Join us in making our school the "spark" it can be. Thank you!
