This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a Special Education teacher in an urban, low-economic status at a high school in the Syracuse City School District. My students come from varying backgrounds with a range of disabilities from autism, intellectual disabilities, and physical disabilities. Their academic levels are well below grade level and they benefit from highly specialized instruction. My students are the most lovable and kind individuals who aim to please the adults in the classroom and school building. They often come to school in need of food and hygiene assistance and rely on myself and the other staff members for help.
My Project
Having access to food and drink throughout school day gives my students fuel to focus, and hydration that is imperative to get the most out of their education! My scholars will thrive with your help in donations of snacks and water.
This is a great way for my students to understand the importance of nutrition and hydration when it comes to learning!
This will ensure that my students will be ready to learn throughout their day!
Thank you in advance for helping my students achieve their goals through your generosity! We are excited about this project. We appreciate your kindness!
