My Project

The items I am requesting will make a difference to my students learning as it will allow them the energy to focus. The student population at Washington Middle School is around 70% free and reduced lunch, meaning a majority of students face food insecurity on a daily basis. I have been purchasing snacks for my classroom with my own funds, and am seeking community support to assure that their basic needs such as food, are met. My students are highly motivated, and I notice when they have a special treat it makes their ability to produce strong academic work that more likely.
