My Project
In our food and nutrition class, we strive to provide our students with hands-on experiences that enhances their culinary skills and teaches them about healthy eating habits.
To elevate our program and expand our curriculum, we are seeking funding for deep fryers that will allow our students to explore various cooking techniques, including frying, while understanding the importance of moderation and nutrition.
Frying is a fundamental cooking method that helps students learn about different food textures and flavors. With proper guidance, students can create delicious dishes while also discussing the nutritional aspects of fried foods. By incorporating deep fryers into our classroom, we will learn the science behind frying, including temperature control, battering techniques, and safety measures, Emphasize the importance of balance in diet and teach students how to make healthier frying options, using alternative oils and cooking methods and experiment with a variety of foods, from vegetables to proteins, and create unique dishes that reflect their cultural backgrounds.
