it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Frozen again!" Yup, I hear those words everyday from my students when they are using our classroom computers to connect to the internet or playing math games from our math series.
I am a 4th grade teacher with 27 enthusiastic students in my class.
About 80 percent of my students are on free or reduced lunch. All of my students are highly motivated to learn, no matter what challenges they face at home or in their community. All the parents in my class want the best education for their child and they try to do the best they can.
My Project
I have some ancient computers in my classroom where my students word process, connect to the internet and play math games from our math series software. These computers are over 10 years old and I was able to get them in my class only because no one else wanted these old clunkers! I know my students deserve better than these reject computers! These computers freeze on us everyday and most of the software in our computer lab won't work on our ancient computers. It's time for an update! We will use the four laptops to research on the internet, create PowerPoint presentations, access math games from our math series, and create graphs and interpret data. The possibilities are endless.
Laptops can help my students master the state standards in all academic areas.
We need a serious update in the technology in our classroom. I am determined to bring different forms of technology into my classroom. My students (and future students) and I appreciate your support. Technology makes learning fun!
