My students need word spacers, punctuation magnets and daily sentence journals to help them learn the basics of writing and eventually become classroom authors.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. I.'s classroom raised $366

My Students
Second graders start out as beginning writers. It is my goal to make them authors by the end of the year.
I am a second grade teacher at a high-need urban school in Indiana.
My school community is comprised of financially struggling families of all races, languages, and religions, and extremely hard-working teachers and staff. As a community we are trying to give all the students attending our school an opportunity for a better future.
My Project
I am asking for basic tools to help teach my class about the fundamentals of writing. Word spacers, daily sentence journals, and magnetic punctuation marks will help create a foundation of grammar concepts. Then, we will use the blank booklets and journals to become classroom authors.
Each year these materials will touch a new group of students.
By donating to this project you will help create authors of the future and give each student an opportunity to express themselves through writing.
