From Wobbly to Wonderful: Kindergarten Needs Stools

My Project
My kindergarteners are joyful, curious, and always on the move! They come to school ready to learn, explore, and grow together. They love stories, songs, hands-on learning, and especially our small group time — when they get focused support in reading, math, and writing.
Our classroom is a busy place filled with energy, laughter, and learning.
I work hard to make it a space that feels safe, welcoming, and organized — a place where all students can do their best.
Right now, our small group seating isn’t working well. Many of our stools are broken, wobbly, or uncomfortable. Others are old square seats that aren’t the right height or shape for young learners. Students often struggle to sit still, and it makes it harder for them to stay engaged during small group instruction.
I’m requesting new, durable stools that are just the right size for kindergarteners. These stools will give my students safe, stable seating that helps them focus — and allows us to make the most of every small group session.
Small group time is when the most important learning happens. It’s where I work closely with students on reading, early math, phonics, and social-emotional skills. Having proper seating means we can use this time more effectively — with fewer distractions and smoother transitions.
