My Project
At our Title I high school—the only school in our district to offer the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program—we are committed to providing students with a globally recognized, college-level education. Many of our scholars come from underserved communities, yet they rise to the challenge of rigorous academic expectations daily.
Our IB Mathematics teacher is exceptionally dedicated and passionate, working tirelessly to help students succeed not just in the classroom but also in earning valuable college credit through their IB scores.
However, there's a major obstacle: our district no longer provides calculators, and the IB Program only permits specific models for assessments.
To ensure students have access to the necessary tools, we are seeking support to purchase 5 TI-Nspire CX II (non-CAS) calculators—the only model permitted for use during official IB assessments. Without these devices, our students cannot adequately prepare for or complete required exams, directly impacting their ability to strengthen their post-secondary opportunities.
