This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
How would you feel if you lost a third of your home? Well, this recently happened to our classroom! Due to overcrowding, our classroom was divided into two classrooms of which the part that was lost included the the coat room. Therefore, the children use their chairs as coat hangers.
I teach kindergarten in a high-need public school which is extremely overcrowded!
My kindergarten class consists of 26 English Language Learners some of which have special needs. Children of this age require much movement and stimulation which will be possible by the space savers..."Dress Up Trees."
My Project
Your donation will help our classroom be more normal and safer. Since loosing the coat room, the children's coats seem to find themselves on the floor due to their constant movement. On several occasions students have tripped on their own coats being on the floor. Having a place to hang their coats will make easier for the children to transition from one center to the other without dropping coats all over the place as they move.
Your donations will enhance our learning environment by eliminating the constant distractions and providing a safe place for the children to keep their belongings.
Your generosity will also provide space saving, sturdy trees that will be appreciated on a regular, daily basis by these happy kindergarteners! Please help us to make this a reality by making your generous donations to this worthy cause.
