This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are working with computers from the stone age. This makes it nearly impossible to do PowerPoint presentations, movies, or to even write a simple report.
My students attend a Southern California school in an urban environment without the benefit of current technology.
I have 30 fabulous fourth graders who in their frustrations in using the archaic computers in our room, are ready to go back to writing with a quill on parchment.
My Project
With the new Hewlett Packard computer, my students will be able to access the current technologies available at our school, such as Accelerated Reader, and enVision Math programs. In addition to research reports, the computer will allow the students to create spectacular movies, music and multimedia presentations.
By giving students technology at an early age, you will give them an advantage and much need skills for their future.
This technology can pave the way for their success in later grades.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
