From the Classroom to the Field: Helping Students Thrive
Help me give my students felt tip pens for art and creative projects, bandaids for safety and minor injuries, and soccer balls to encourage teamwork, physical activity, and outdoor play during recess and physical education.

My Project
I teach an amazing group of fourth graders who are curious, energetic, and eager to learn. Many of my students are English learners who are working hard to improve their reading and writing skills. They thrive when they have the right tools to express themselves creatively, feel safe and cared for, and stay active throughout the school day.
The felt tip pens will help bring excitement to their writing, allowing them to draft, edit, and illustrate their work in a way that feels fun and engaging.
Many of my students struggle with confidence in writing, and these pens make the process more enjoyable, helping them take pride in their work.
Bandaids may seem like a small request, but they make a big difference in the classroom. My students are active, and minor scrapes happen often. Having bandaids readily available ensures that small injuries don’t become big distractions. It also shows my students that their well-being is a priority, helping them feel safe and cared for.
The soccer balls will give my students an outlet for movement, teamwork, and social connection during recess and PE. Many of them love soccer, and having enough balls for everyone to play will encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy physical activity.
Lastly, the fidget stress balls will help my students who need extra sensory support. Many of my students struggle with focus or anxiety, and having a small, quiet tool to fidget with can make a huge difference in their ability to stay engaged and calm during lessons.
My goal for this project is to create a classroom environment where students feel excited to learn, supported in their needs, and encouraged to be active.
