From Text to Technology: Making Reading Come Alive

My Students

Do you remember what it felt like to sit at a listening station with a group of classmates, and listen to a story that you could have read in 5 minutes? Help us to differentiate our listening center and provide access to appropriate leveled text at the touch of a button!

As a 4-Star school, we are blessed with a staff and students who love to learn.

The kids in my classroom are able to read, write, and analyze math problems at grade level--but have the desire to achieve much higher goals for themselves. They push the envelope looking for more information, more practice, and more ways to find answers.

My Project

With this listening center, students will be able to listen to literature and fluent readers during center time. More importantly, through the use of the I-dock, the students will have access to a variety of text levels and genres, thus allowing for the teacher to have listening centers designed for differentiated instruction.

First grade is a year in which students begin to have a true love for reading and are excited to get their hands on as many books as possible.

Help us get more books in their hands, virtually, so that we can further instill a love for books!
