My Students
My students are really special to me for many reasons. I have a wonderful group of students who come from diverse backgrounds that make them unique. Being engaged in their own learning is crucial for ensuring their success. For example, I know that they learn best through active and meaningful experiences that they can connect across the content areas and to their own experiences. Learning by doing is essential for us because it is so highly motivating.
Unfortunately, most of the enriching experiences my students encounter are within the school walls because my students live in high poverty situations.
I strive every day to make school fun and meaningful for my precious students while providing them with a close classroom community in which they feel safe. They deserve the very best.
My Project
In my classroom, hands-on learning is a must. I have incorporated movement throughout the day to keep idle minds busy. My classroom is structured in order to make this happen.
My students learn best from hands-on, fun, high engagement lessons!
I plan to purchase lessons that will keep my kids interested and talking about my class for years to come.
The items in my project will increase the amount of high interest lessons and project-based learning that we can use in the classroom. I plan to use the gift card to buy bundled lessons like Breakout rooms, labs and experiments, and other fun activities that have already been created by other amazing teachers. Students love participating in these types of activities that I can purchase with my Teachers Pay Teachers gift card.
