Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is a pre-k classroom composed by 19 unique students whose ages range from 3 to 5. My students are very artistic, curious and energetic; they respond well to creative learning environments. They can be found building, singing, dancing, painting, writing, reading books, engaged in dramatic play, brainstorming, planning and putting ideas into action. My students are also very talkative. They love participating in group discussions, sharing their work, personal experiences and points of view in front of the classroom.
My Project
Nothing like growing a plant from a seed! Nothing like seeing a caterpillar turning into a butterfly! By supporting this project, you are helping to offer exciting learning opportunities for my young students who are very curious and eager to learn about the mysterious, magic world surrounding them.
Besides helping them to make meaningful connections with the outside world from the comfort and protection of their school environment, the plant germination and butterfly kits will continue feeding their curiosity and natural desire to learn and they will also be creating new opportunities for my students to collaborate and spread ideas.
