My Project

School gardens serve as vibrant outdoor classrooms, where students cultivate not only plants but also invaluable skills and knowledge. These green spaces offer a multitude of benefits, ranging from fostering a deeper connection with nature to promoting healthier lifestyles and enhancing academic performance.

We are requesting seed starter trays, planting mix, fertilizer, pots, and other supplies that will allow our students to grow their own seeds.

Growing our own seeds will teach our children a lot about how plants grow, this will save us money so that we aren't always having to purchase plants, and it's a great learning experience for our students watching the seeds turn into big, healthy plants.

Taking care of our school garden will teach our students responsibility. We want our students to learn that by taking care of plants, they'll grow well. This will hopefully make them feel good because they'll learn that they are also helping nature. We plan to teach out students about recycling and not wasting resources, which is important for keeping our planet healthy.

Working in a garden will also be a fun experience for our students because they will be able to do this with their friends and teachers. We will all work together to make our garden grow. Our students will learn a lot of different things, not just about plants. They will use math to measure and count, and we write about our garden journey in class.

Our school garden will benefit all 877 students in our school as every classroom will have the opportunity to visit and work in our garden. Thank you for considering helping us get our school garden growing!
