Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Over the past few years, we’ve noticed a decline in student interest and motivation at our school. To address this, we believe students need more opportunities for creativity and a chance to take ownership of their work.
That’s why we’re excited to launch our inaugural Makers Club at Parkway.
This club will offer students hands-on experiences in screen printing, 3D design, coding, and other valuable skills that translate into both job and life skills.
Our Makers Club will empower students to design and create custom t-shirts for special events, showcasing their unique creative abilities. They'll learn the entire process, from conceptualizing a design to producing a finished screen-printed shirt.
By participating in this club, we hope to inspire students to take pride in their school and their work, as they see their creations displayed and celebrated throughout our community.
