This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I love to bring my lessons to life and my students love all of the different hands-on activities I create. I want my students to make healthy decisions when choosing what to eat. Using the plush dolls and the games my students will dive into the importance of making healthy choices.

My students are 8th graders, most of which are students who receive free and reduced lunch.

I know my students want to learn how to make good choices, they just have to be given the information. They are eager to learn and always have the best questions.

My Project

My students will use these materials during the nutrition unit. It is my hope that they will take this information on healthy eating and bring it into their everyday lives. Using the plush dolls and the game my students will use hands-on activities to make the best decisions when choosing what to eat. As my students grow up they will have to make decisions on their own and I want to provide them with the best tools for that job.

These donations will help bring my lessons to life.

I know they will be excited to see the plush fruit and vegetables and play the different nutritional games. By having fun and learning they will grasp this knowledge and carry it along with them for the rest of their lives.
