Help me give my students headphones to personalize learning. Tablets will help our language learners bridge the gap between their home language and in person learning, and help close the pandemic learning gap.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Podesta's classroom raised $534

My Students
If you enter my classroom, you will see a diverse group of students building practical math skills to use in the classroom and out. You will hear many accents, as a third of my students are English language learners. You might even smell the leftovers from the free lunch and breakfast all of my students receive. What you won't hear is that most of my students face poverty at home. You won't see that many of them have overcome unimaginable obstacles. You will see the joy of learning; you will hear the effort and work we put in everyday, despite what we go through.
My Project
I am requesting headphones to personalize my students' learning and four tablets with cases which will help our language learners.
Tablets can be a gateway for my students who are trying their very hardest.
Many students missed learning due to the pandemic, and headphones and tablets can help students complete unfinished learning. Additionally, language learners can use tablets to read along with our books in other languages, as well as provide access to materials and work in their home language.
Virtual learning was particularly hard for low income and dual language students. I hope to set my students up for success next year and beyond by incorporating technology skills, tools, and technology and media literacy into our lessons. Adding another facet to the classroom beyond direct instruction can help capture every student.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
