This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 8th-grade students at our urban public middle school enjoy exploring the world of 3D design and modeling. While they have the necessary creativity in spades, our current technology limits their potential.

I am requesting a powerful computer capable of running 3D modeling software like Blender, Sketchup and TinkerCAD.

Currently, our school issued computers and Chromebooks struggle with, or completely can't run the software. This deprives students of crucial opportunities to develop 21st-century skills in design, engineering, and digital literacy.

This project aims to acquire a high-performance PC equipped with a dedicated graphics card. This upgrade will empower students to create complex 3D models, explore virtual environments, and prepare for future careers in fields like architecture, game design, and product development. Imagine the possibilities: students designing prototypes for inventions, creating virtual tours of historical sites, or even developing their own video games!
