My Students
My students are amazing, marvelous and challenging on many levels. They come to school excited, eager to experience an exciting lesson. I often refer to them jokingly as “challenging customers” that refuse to accept second best. As I try my best to provide excellent customer service to my clientele, I find that it is never enough to just teach.
It is a journey to discover how best to serve every single one of my students and get them ready for college and for life and I am enjoying the ride.
Our school is a Title I school in Atlanta where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students are facing many socioeconomic challenges that hinder their academic success. As I observe them interact with one another, enthused in a lesson, I regain my conviction that a future is possible and achievable for all my students.
My Project
My mission as an educator is to level up the playing field to allow each individual to be able to participate. Most of my students are struggling learners and I know that hand2mind will help my students.
With hand2mind, my learners will be able to connect all the tiles of their brain and reach success and proficiency.
VersaTiles requires no prep time and will be absolutely perfect for my intervention groups and classroom centers. Now, with distance learning, more than ever, this resource will help my students that might fall behind in the digital world.
