My Project
Starting school for the very first time is a big moment for our young learners—and so is the day they graduate and take flight into kindergarten. As an early childhood school, we work hard to make sure our students feel welcomed, loved, and celebrated every step of the way. That’s why we’re asking for your support to bookend their Pre-K journey with a little humor, a lot of heart, and a familiar feathered friend: Mo Willems’ beloved Pigeon.
With your help, we’d love to gift each of our students a copy of The Pigeon HAS to Go to School!
at the beginning of the year. This funny and relatable story helps ease those first-day-of-school nerves while reminding kids that they’re not alone in their worries. Reading it together helps us build classroom community, open up conversations about feelings, and spark a love of storytelling right from day one.
Then, at the end of the school year, we want to surprise our graduates with Will the Pigeon Graduate?—a new title that perfectly captures the excitement and drama of finishing Pre-K. This book will serve as a keepsake to remind them of how far they’ve come and give them a sense of pride as they head into kindergarten.
These books are moments that will comfort, connect, and celebrate our students as they grow. Your support will allow us to turn the first and last days of school into something even more special. Help us give every child a story to hold onto and a reason to smile from start to finish.
