From Doodles to Solutions-Interactive Boards for the Win!

My Project

I am the STEAM teacher at a Title I primary school, where my students learn to collaborate and solve real-world problems together.

My classroom is a true melting pot of cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and ability levels—but once students walk through the door, those differences are left behind.

In our space, every child becomes a problem solver and an innovator.

Each day, students come ready to tackle the task at hand. While we use notebooks to record their thinking, LCD tablets would provide a quick and engaging way for students to jot down responses to warm-up questions and exit slips. This instant feedback would allow me to quickly check understanding and guide instruction.

I also teach a small group during our 4th quarter enrichment time. A mobile, magnetic whiteboard that can be lowered to student level would make learning more interactive—students could use it to show their problem-solving process, while I could use it to model instruction in a way that is accessible to all learners.

Additionally, a presentation clicker would allow me to move freely around the classroom while guiding students through STEAM lessons. This flexibility would keep students more attentive and engaged as I interact with them directly, rather than being anchored to the front of the room.

I am so excited about the possibility of bringing these new tools into my classroom. The LCD tablets, mobile whiteboard, and presentation clicker will strengthen student engagement, collaboration, and problem solving. Most importantly, I know my students will love using them as they grow into confident thinkers and problem solvers. Thank you for your kindness and support!
