From Classroom to Sensory Room

Help me give my students a sand table, floor liquid tiles, and other sensory items so my students have a classroom that feels like a sensory room!

My Project

In my current self-contained Autism classroom, we do not have a designated sensory area/calm down corner. I am hoping to create a classroom that meets their sensory needs, allows them to regulate their emotions, and do some learning!

Students with Autism need sensory supports to feel regulated, supported, and be able to function in their environment.

The tools in this project will allow me to transform our entire room into a sensory room. Not only do these items bring fun to our classroom, but they serve and integral purpose. They help my students navigate the day calmly with environmental supports.

Please help me turn my room into a place where all students can thrive and feel ready to conquer the day!
