This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our second-grade classroom, organization is key to creating a space where every student can thrive. With so many papers moving between home and school each day—assignments, notices, homework, and more—students need a reliable system to manage it all. That’s why we’re seeking support to bring student mailboxes and a “Turn In Your Work” organizer into our classroom.

An organized classroom builds confident, independent learners.

These simple tools will help my students develop responsibility, stay on top of their work, and reduce the stress that comes with lost or misplaced papers. Each student will have a personal mailbox to receive graded work and important handouts, while the turn-in organizer will give them a consistent, designated place to submit their assignments. These systems will strengthen routines and foster academic success.

My students come from a highly diverse, low-income community, and many face daily challenges that extend beyond the classroom. Despite this, they arrive eager to learn and grow. With your support, we can create an environment that helps them stay focused, feel empowered, and develop the essential organizational habits that will benefit them for years to come.
