From Chaos to Cabinets: Organizing Our Classroom!

Help me give my students storage cabinets to keep their supplies organized and accessible, creating a more functional and clutter-free learning environment.

My Project

The storage cabinets I am requesting for my students already have a purpose and place in our classroom. Right now, our storage situation is extremely limited—I only have two shelves, and they are old and falling apart. Because of this, most of our supplies end up stored behind my desk, which not only clutters our space but also makes it hard for my students to access the materials they need to learn, create, and grow.

I teach first grade, and I absolutely love my students.

They are curious, independent, and full of potential. One of my biggest goals is to help them develop independence and confidence in their learning, but this becomes a challenge when they can’t access basic supplies without help. These storage cabinets will give us a safe, organized space to hold crayons, paper, books, whiteboards, math tools, and more—right where students can get to them on their own.

Each cabinet will play a key role in building a classroom where materials are easy to find, learning time is maximized, and students can take ownership of their space. With better organization, we can spend less time searching for things and more time focused on reading, writing, solving problems, and having meaningful discussions. These cabinets will turn our room into a more efficient, welcoming, and student-centered environment.
