My Project
In my classroom, I strive to make math not only understandable but engaging and accessible for all 170 of my students. Mathematics can be a challenging subject, especially when students struggle to visualize complex processes or follow along with multi-step problems. To address this, I incorporate technology wherever possible—but even the most powerful digital tools have limitations without the right accessories. That’s why I’m requesting an Apple Pencil through DonorsChoose.
With an Apple Pencil, I can transform my iPad into a dynamic, interactive whiteboard.
This allows me to work through equations, draw graphs, annotate diagrams, and model step-by-step solutions with the kind of clarity and precision that traditional whiteboards—or even fingers on a touchscreen—can’t provide. I can use apps like Notability, GoodNotes, or Desmos to create engaging, real-time lessons that students can follow and interact with.
In a classroom with 170 students, it's critical to make every minute count. The Apple Pencil will help streamline instruction, reduce confusion, and promote a more interactive learning experience. My goal is to build math confidence and competence for every student, and this tool will be a game-changer in reaching that goal.
