Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A personal laptop will allow me to create lessons that are more interactive and student-centered, helping my students better understand complex concepts in geometry and precalculus. With access to digital tools like Desmos, GeoGebra, and interactive graphing platforms, I can help them visualize math in real time, which is crucial for grasping abstract concepts such as transformations, trigonometry, and limits.
The laptop also allows me to provide instant feedback and support, whether I’m in class or hosting virtual meetings..
I can use videos, tutorials, and personalized assignments to meet students where they are, offering tailored guidance that helps them succeed.
The benefits will extend beyond just learning math. The laptop will help me foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and skills that are essential for all students. By integrating technology into their learning process, my students will not only excel in math, but also gain digital literacy skills that will serve them in school and beyond.
