From Cells to Success: Hands-On Biology for Future Scientists

Help me give my students lab materials (microscope slides, beakers, gloves, pipettes, specimens), storage and organization (bins, shelves, labels), basic classroom supplies (pencils, notebooks, colored paper, whiteboard markers), and science posters and models to make abstract concepts more tangible.

My Project

My students are bright, curious, and incredibly driven. As honors biology students, they’re not just memorizing facts—they’re diving deep into the "why" behind the natural world. They ask questions that challenge me as a teacher, and they push themselves to understand complex systems like genetics, ecosystems, and cell biology.

What I love most about my students is their sense of wonder.

Even after a long day, they light up when we do something hands-on—like examining slides under a microscope or modeling DNA with beads and pipe cleaners. These moments remind me that science is best learned by doing.

But hands-on science requires materials—many of which I simply don't have yet.

Your support will help me provide:

Lab equipment like pipettes, beakers, and gloves so students can conduct real experiments instead of just reading about them.

Microscope slides and specimens so they can explore the microscopic world firsthand.

Organizational supplies to create lab kits for each group, making class smoother and more efficient.

Posters, models, and visual aids to help them grasp abstract concepts like the structure of DNA or the process of photosynthesis.

Basic classroom supplies (notebooks, pencils, whiteboard markers) that some students can’t afford to bring but need every day.

These resources will make science come alive in our classroom. They’ll allow my students to build real skills, stay engaged, and feel excited about learning. Many of them are preparing for futures in healthcare, environmental science, and research—and this kind of hands-on experience builds confidence and helps them see what’s possible.
